Small batch producers

Here at cut to the smoke, we steer clear of any form of preservative other than salt of which even our salt content is less than 6%, Whilst this does not limit the shelf life of our spice blends it may increase the chances of clumping if products are left for long periods of time on a shelf. This is why we produce out blends in weekly batches that are proportionate to seasonal demand.

If you find a product out of stock please do make use of the backorder facility as this will only add a maximum of 48 hours to your order whilst we facilitate a new batch. All our spices have a best before the duration of 6 – 9 months which is purely based on moisture content to ensure minimal clumping when opened and ready for use.

We also use food-grade silica gel packets in our pouches which we are sure you prefer over artificial ingredients.
